KMAA Northern Westchester Hospital Show:
Halls for Healing
The "Halls for Healing" is a collaborative, long-running art exhibition between the Katonah Museum Artists' Association (KMAA) and Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH), transforming hospital hallways into galleries to provide a calming and inspiring environment. The program features a variety of artwork, including paintings, photography, and sculptures, and allows hospital visitors, staff, and patients to experience art while at the hospital. The annual exhibition runs for a year and is a successful, ongoing initiative to support the healing power of art.

This piece is a romantic mixed-media collage layered with history, music, and botanical symbolism. Set against a warm parchment background, a delicate sepia drawing of a classical musician playing a flute softly fills the space, evoking Renaissance artistry and timeless melody. In the foreground, a vintage early-20th-century couple stands in intimate exchange—the woman in an elegant, embroidered gown gently lifting the man’s chin in a tender, playful gesture. Lush green botanical illustrations rise beside them, adding freshness and symbolic growth. Along the left edge, bold vertical typography reads “LOVE & LAUGHTER FOREVER AFTER,” anchoring the composition with a modern graphic statement. The blending of antique imagery, romantic portraiture, and contemporary design creates a nostalgic yet celebratory tribute to enduring partnership.

The Digital Infinity
The Katonah Museum Artists' Association (KMAA) show at the Katonah Library in 2025 is titled "The Digital Infinity," an exhibition exploring how simple visual elements can lead to boundless expression. The exhibition will be on view from November 2–28, 2025, with an opening reception on November 6th.

This piece features a rhythmic geometric pattern built from repeated circle segments arranged within a precise grid. Each square contains either a full teal-blue circle or a quarter-circle that curves outward, creating a dynamic interplay between positive and negative space. The soft aqua tone contrasts gently against the clean white background, while faint grid lines emphasize structure and alignment. As the eye moves across the composition, the alternating full and partial circles generate a flowing, almost kinetic movement—suggesting rotation, expansion, and continuity. The overall effect is modern, minimal, and architectural, with a mid-century sensibility that balances bold shape with calm repetition.
